Nancy O'Dell started her career in broadcasting as a reporter at WPDE-TV, Myrtle Beach South Carolina. O'Dell later became an anchor for morning news at WCBD TV and was the crime reporter. In Charleston O'Dell's reports about the relaxed approach police take to DUI cases resulted in a State Law Enforcement Division investigation that resulted in state authorities re-issuing the strictest guidelines regarding the cases. Ms. O'Dell was awarded her Best Report of the Award from the Associated Press for South Carolina's media. Her work in Charleston led her to serve as co-anchor and investigative reporter and NBC's Miami WTVJ-TV. Prior to becoming a part of Access Hollywood she was a co-anchor on weekdays as well as the weekend anchor for NBC. As well as her work as a lead anchor on Access Hollywood Ms. O'Dell is also an anchor for NBC News' Today and in addition to Dateline NBC. She has covered such events like The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys and The Golden Globe Awards as and co-hosted a variety of Pre-ShowArrivals shows in preparation for The Emmys and the Golden Globes. Other co-hosting credits include the Miss USA pageant, and Miss Universe.
